“The Oulim in Tokyo,” a global festival of new technology fusion contents organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister RYU In-chon 柳仁村) and managed by the Korea Creative Content Agency (President CHO Hyun-rak 趙炫来), opened on December 14 at Tokyo’s Akiba Square.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of “The Oulim in Tokyo,” which will run for 12 days until the upcoming 25th, and the Korean and Japanese governments and private companies pledged to each other to revitalize exchange between the content industries of the two countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by Kong Hyung-Sik (孔炯植), President of the Korean Cultural Institute in Japan; Ayako Miyano (宮野 彩季子), Assistant Director, Content Industry Division, Commerce and Information Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Yoichiro Kawaguchi (河口 洋一郎) of the Digital Content Association of Japan (DCAJ); Yuzo Kano (加納 裕三), Representative Director, Japan Blockchain Association; Chie Kubota (久保田 千絵) of TBS Innovation Partners, Tsuyoshi Yoshimura (吉村 毅), Representative Director and President of Digital Hollywood Co., Ltd., representatives of Korean exhibiting companies such as The2H Representative Lee Bung-Hun (李丞訓), and Plask Representative Lee Jun-ho (李準鎬) attended.
In addition to the opening ceremony, a business meeting between about 60 Japanese VC firms and content companies, including Sony Innovation Fund, Softbank Ventures, Sanrio Company, and Universal Music Japan, and 20 Korean content companies took place. A lively business meeting was also held.
