Kia reveals global sales results for July 2024

• July 2024 global sales of 261,334 units, up 0.2% Y/y
• Outside of Korea, Kia sold 214,724 units, up 0.9% Y/y
• In Korea, Kia sold 46,010 units, down 3.0% Y/y
• Kia SUVs led the company’s sales, including Sportage and Seltos models

Kia Corporation today announced total global sales for July 2024 of 261,334 units, a 0.2 percent increase year over year.

Kia SUV models led the company’s sales, with the Sportage SUV selling 47,471 units globally in July. The Seltos and Sorento SUVs backed up this strong market performance, with the Seltos SUV recording global sales of 27,171 units. The Sorento SUV sold 23,710 units globally.

Sales outside of Korea

Outside of Korea sales were up 0.9 percent compared with the same period in 2023, to 214,724 units (excluding special purpose vehicles).

The Sportage SUV led the brand’s performance in markets outside of Korea, with 41,236 sales. It was followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 21,682 units, and the K3 (also known as Forte in some markets), with sales of 19,183 units.

In the Korean market, Kia sold 46,010 units, a three percent decrease compared with the same period last year.

The Sorento SUV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, recording 7,596 sales. Kia’s Carnival MPV and Sportage SUV models followed, with 7,050 and 6,235 units respectively.

Kia will continue to build its sales momentumwith the launch of the new all-electric EV3 in the second half of 2024.
