Bloomage, a company specializing in hyaluronic acid and bioactive substances, showcased its latest products designed for pharmaceutical and functional foods at CPHI and HI Korea 2024. Additionally, the company’s spokespeople presented new findings in the pharmaceutical and functional foods industry.
At CPHI, Bloomage prominently promoted its Bloomcolla Recombinant Human Collagen III. According to the company, this substance is designed to promote cell proliferation, support skin regeneration, and maintain skin elasticity.
To help drive high-quality research, Bloomage presented its BloomStem Cell Culture Medium that’s compliant with European Union GMP standards and several other medical device standards. The cell culture medium, which is used to support the growth of cells in a laboratory research setting, can be customized and mass-produced for large-scale research projects.
Dion Kim, Sales Manager at Bloomage, presented insights on skin rejuvenation using endogenous substances, emphasizing the company’s approach to enhancing skin health through naturally occurring ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, PDRN, and collagen.
At the functional food-focused HI Korea 2024, Bloomage featured the Bloomage MitoPQQ, a functional food additive designed to combat aging by supporting metabolic health. Bloomage says MitoPQQ promotes the transformation of NAD+, which has gained rising interest for its potential as a “longevity factor.” Other benefits of MitoPQQ include enhancing cognitive function and increasing energy.
Alongside MitoPQQ, Bloomage also presented its BloomNest Sialic Acid, which mimics the sialic acid found in breast milk. This product supports neurodevelopment, has anti-viral properties, strengthens the immune system, and supports skin health.
Finally, Chelsea Zhang, Technical Marketing Manager, discussed trends in bioactive substances in functional foods, highlighting opportunities in China’s cross-border market and the demand for innovative bioactive solutions.
“With our diverse portfolio of bioactive substance solutions, Bloomage is fully capable of supporting South Korea’s rising demand for high-quality health products,” said Chunzi Song, General Manager of Bloomage’s South Korea subsidiary. “We have grown rapidly in South Korea in the past three years; it has become Bloomage’s second-largest country by export value, following the United States. This instills us with great confidence to do even better. In the future, Bloomage will continue to deepen its understanding of the local market to deliver targeted, innovative products that best align with our customers’ needs.”
